It was a night of glitz and glamour at the premiere of the movie Rant Queens, a movie that tells the story of a meddling mother who clashes with her controversial blogger daughter in a series of rants and ultimately the power of social media.

    At the event, the executive producer Edak Willie was supported by her husband Aniekan Willie and also had in attendance several movie stars, colleagues and friends.

    That Nollywood actress, Susan Peters, who recently disclosed her new status as a born-again Christian after her encounter with a fan, is currently on a movie location is not news.

    However, what is news is that she is working on her first production entitled Blind Promise under 12AD Production and Emem Isong’s Royal Arts Academy.

    The movie, which is being directed by Desmond Elliot, will star Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, BBA winner, actor and model, Uti Nwachukwu, among others.

    Susan Peters, who is also a model, interior designer and beauty salon owner, studied Computer Science at the Asman English School in 1998. Later, she studied TV and Film at Video Waves and Camera Film School, where she graduated in 2002.

    Consequently, the beautiful actress has swelled the ranks of top Nollywood actresses that have ventured into music.

    Some of the screen queens, who delved into music, are Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde, Tonto Dikeh, Anita Joseph and Jennifer Eliogu.

    Though it is not certain if Peters will dump acting for her new love, she is said to be recording at an undisclosed location.

    Peters, according to close aides, has not only kicked off her music career, she would drop her debut single soon.

    TOMORROW, December 23, all roads will literally lead to the The Ark, Victoria Island, Lagos, as the much-talked about Susan Peters and The Entourage holds.

    The event, according to the organizers, is being organised to give back to the local community, particularly by providing stationery, uniforms and furniture items for schools in the slums.

    In a press statement, the organizers also stated that the money raised from the event would be used to “help replace, renew and provide basic necessities lacking in the schools.”

    “One of our vital roles as privileged individuals in the Nigerian society is to ensure that these children are not cheated out of what life has to offer them, such as the right to education. This event will be of great benefit to you due to the extended publicity you will receive for attending and supporting an event of this form and magnitude. Over 400 guests, including Lagos State First Lady and other dignitaries, will be in attendance. Also, there will be a charity white carpet event, which includes a fashion and music show comprising prominent artistes and designers,” he said.
