Man recounts how TB Joshua saved his life amid viral claims

Following controversy generated by BBC report on the late prophet TB Joshua, an X user has taken to social media to recount how the late man of God saved his life.

The man identified as Benfil, stated that he was diagnosed ofa chronic osteomyelitis diagnosis in 2009 in a post on the microblogging platform X.

Benfil said that he was healed after going to the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

He claimed that in light of the unfolding discoveries from a BBC documentary, he felt obligated to tell about the excellent thing God had done for him at TB Joshua’s church.

Benfil said: “In 2009, I faced a daunting diagnosis of chronic osteomyelitis, with the possibility of losing my thigh to amputation. Desperate for a solution, I visited the Synagogue Church of All Nations and sought healing from the late Prophet T.B. Joshua. Contrary to claims of fake miracles, my firsthand experience was transformative. Not only did I find spiritual support, but I witnessed the philanthropic side of Joshua, who played a vital role in providing scholarships and education to many. Thanks to his spiritual intervention, my dire medical situation took a positive turn, and I am grateful for the impact he had on my life. I respect this man. Please Let’s allow the dead to rest in peace.”

He said in a follow-up post with a video: “I feel compelled to speak out against the online accusations and name-calling targeting a man of God who played a significant role in transforming my life, saving me from a chronic bone infection, preventing amputation, and overall, saving my life. Remaining silent doesn’t mean appreciation for the miracles God has worked through TB Joshua; I believe it’s important to share my testimony, regardless of others’ beliefs or doubts.”

BBC and its ludicrous episodes of hatchet job on TB Joshua by Dare Adejumo

The BBC world services investigative unit, code-named ‘Africa eye’ came out this week with weird and strange episodes of atrocities against late Prophet TB Joshua, founder of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations, SCOAN.

To investigate and publish or broadcast reports is a central kernel in journalism  But to do this outside the ethics and fundamental principles of the profession is an aberration. Journalism as societal watch dog requires fairness, balancing and objectivity in order to command dignity, honour and respect as the fourth estate of the realm.

BBC has compromised these lofty principles by descending into fictional narratives and propaganda thus turning itself into a weapon for a hatchet job as gangsters in the gab of journalism with a destructive ulterior motive for personal gains against a perceived enemy.

Only BBC can best explain why it woefully deviated from true journalism and chose to be dishing junks and feeding the public with stones called bread by its offensive and disenchanted lopsided reports of disgruntled and shameless elements. This to say the least is insulting to our professional and public intelligence.

One thing is very obvious, hundreds of BBC charades cannot rubbish the indelible footprints of TBJoshua’s legacies on earth again.

There are thousands of REAL human beings who had received dumbfounding miracles and tremendously benefited from the anointing and grace the Lord endued with His servant while on earth that could not be disputed that are lining up and responding angrily to this imperialist broadcasting station.

Many of them are in the UK the home base of BBC but which its jaundiced investigative eyes could not see but only the obviously suborned narrators! Myriads of broken homes reconciled by TBJoshua are also crying foul of BBC’s broadcast of iniquity.

Uncountable hopeless children drawn from different parts of the world; some brought by their parents while some were picked from drug joints or brothels who have gotten their destinies restored are also pissed off by the offensive reports.

His ineffable love and charity works across the globe including horrible disaster spots speaks volumes in USA, Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East among other continents. BBC has obviously shot itself in the foot by its compromise and roadside journalism.

Incidentally SCOAN is not ready to belittle its honour by responding to the BBC charade. BBC would not have lost anything if it had gone to the church even to disguise as visitors in order to have direct experience of what is happening in the church instead of relying on disgruntled and manipulated  individuals some of whom are never known before in SCOAN as could be seen in the episodes. Some of those identified there are relics of homosexual and lesbian associates. My findings further show that everything the BBC put together was strange to SCOAN.

One other clearly illogical thing in the charade is the BBC  categorical statement that the man of God was involved in all the abuse for over two decades! How could that be in a nation governed by law? It shows the station’s crude disrespect and bizarre perception of Nigeria.

Where were all those shameless interviewees in all the decades? Was it when the man  passed on that they suddenly became awake or came back to their senses? Only a fool will have respect for such charlatans. This is not only shameful to hear but also insulting to see from the work of supposedly well trained reporters!

On the tragic collapse of the church guest house, it is shocking that BBC also turned itself to building expert through its charlatans to disregard the opinion of various renowned international erudite and building experts on what it didn’t know anything about. It was all just to call the dog a bad name so that they could hang it.

It is obvious that the sponsors of the BBC hatchet job must have been transmogrified by the continued growth of the church like the tree planted by the river side which  remains incomprehensible to those satanic agents who erroneously thought the church was finished with the passing of TBJoshua not knowing that whatever is of God cannot be uprooted by anyone.

Thank God you exonerated his only wife of any wrong doing throughout the decades of your so-called investigated lopsided work. But did you think any wife at all could be seeing and watching all these nonsensical and annoying scenarios you painted for decades and still kept silent?

I am yet to read any literature or hear of such a woman in the universe! This is illogical, irritating, incomprehensible, unfathomable and satanically dubious and malicious.

Persecution of divine envoys or servants of God is not new in history. For cursed and manipulated false witnesses to arise and manufacture intimidating and damaging lies has always been and history would always repeat itself.

One thing is very important and which every opinion moulder must know:  no one can run away from harvesting the consequences of whatever seed he or she has planted in Creation.

As a matter of fact, it’s in God’s adamantine will that such a planter either through his words, deeds, writings or actions will never be free not until those people he or she had misled are free.

This is why we must not allow ourselves to be carried away by any situation no matter the immediate benefits because the consequences coulf be fatal.

BBC investigative reporters in this case on their so-called episodes on TB Joshua should bow down their heads in shame as journalists in their fictional voyage of the theatre of the absurd.

TB Joshua raped, tortured worshippers, performed faked miracles – BBC report

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has released the first segment, a three-part investigative documentary outlining the alleged atrocities and sexual crimes committed by the late Nigerian pastor, Temitope Balogun Joshua, widely known as TB Joshua.

TB Joshua was the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), which is situated in the Ikotun area of Lagos state.

He died a week before his 58th birthday, on June 5, 2021, after conducting a service.

As part of the investigation which was carried out in collaboration with international media platform Open Democracy, the BBC interviewed more than 25 former members and workers of the SCOAN, from the UK, Nigeria, US, South Africa, Ghana, Namibia and Germany, who gave an eyewitness accounts bordering on allegations of sexual assault, physical abuse, faked miracles and trauma -allegedly suffered in the hands the late pastor.

The three-part documentary exposes the covert lifestyle of the deceased SCOAN founder, detailing instances of abuse, harassment, rape, manipulation, and staged miracles.

The victims allege that the sexual crimes spanned over two decades, while also accusing the televangelist of faking his “miracle healings,” which were broadcast to millions of people around the world.

“More than 25 eyewitnesses and alleged victims, from the UK, Nigeria, Ghana, US, South Africa and Germany, have provided accounts of what it was like inside Joshua’s compound, with the most recent experiences in 2019.

“Testimony from dozens of survivors suggests Joshua was abusing and raping young women from around the world several times a week for nearly 20 years.” the report noted.

BBC stated that it contacted SCOAN with the allegations in the investigation, saying they did not respond to them but denied previous claims against Joshua.

“Making unfounded allegations against Prophet TB Joshua is not a new occurrence… None of the allegations was ever substantiated,” the church stated.

The BBC stated that former followers have previously tried to speak out about abuse, but say they had been silenced or discredited by SCOAN, while two said they were physically assaulted.

One of the alleged victims, a British woman called Rae, was 21 years old when she abandoned her degree at Brighton University in 2002 and was recruited into the church. She spent the next 12 years as one of Joshua’s so-called “disciples” inside his maze-like concrete compound in Lagos.

“We all thought we were in heaven, but we were in hell, and in hell terrible things happen,” she told the BBC.

Rae said she was sexually assaulted by Joshua and subjected to a form of solitary confinement for two years. The abuse was so severe she said she attempted suicide multiple times inside the compound.

A close friend of Rae, Carla, recalled how they both travelled to Nigeria in search of a mysterious man who could seemingly heal people with his hands. He was a Christian pastor, with a black beard, in white robes. His name was TB Joshua. His followers called him “The Prophet.”

Rae and Carla planned to visit his church, the SCOAN, for just one week. But Rae never came home. She had moved into Joshua’s compound.

“I left her there,” says Carla, tears flowing freely. “Never will I ever forgive myself for that.

“For me, it was like she died, but I couldn’t grieve her,” Carla revealed.

Rae, in her account, stated that she was gay and thought being healed by Joshua would solve her predicament.

She narrated, “I was gay and I didn’t want to be,” she says. “I thought: ‘Well, maybe this is the answer to my problems. Maybe this man can straighten me out. Like if he prays for me, I won’t be gay anymore.’”

Jessica Kaimu, from Namibia, while narrating her ordeal, said it lasted more than five years.

According to her, she was 17 when Joshua first raped her, and that subsequent instances of rape by TB Joshua led to her having five forced abortions while there.

“These were backdoor type… medical treatments that we were going through… it could have killed us,” she said.

Some witnesses in Nigeria claim they were physically attacked, after previously speaking out against the abuse and posting videos containing allegations on YouTube.

Other victims told the BBC that they were stripped and beaten with electrical cables and horse whips, and routinely denied sleep.

A Nigerian, Bisola, who was also a ‘disciple,’ stated that she was raped multiple times by the late clergyman.

Bisola, who spent 14 years inside the compound, added that she was asked to recruit virgin girls into the disciple fold under threats of violence.

“TB Joshua asked me to recruit virgins for him… So that he could bring them into the disciple-fold and disvirgin them,” she revealed.

Bisola told the BBC that courting Westerners was a key tactic employed by Joshua

“He used the white people to market his brand,” she said.

The report stated that many of the young people who left their home countries to meet Joshua in the early 2000s didn’t pay for their tickets.

It added that Church groups across England raised funds to send pilgrims to Lagos to witness these miracles – and Joshua contributed Scoan money himself, senior former church insiders said.

Later, once the church was well established, Joshua charged high prices for pilgrims to come and stay.

Actor Jim Iyke recounts encounter with late TB Joshua

Actor Jim Iyke has narrated his last encounter with the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet TB Joshua.

The movie star, during a recent interview with talk show host, Teju Babyface, recounted his experience with the late prophet when he was forced to take his sick mother to the prophet for healing.

He said: “When they found out, the only thing they could do was attack my personality, attack my integrity, I’ll never be desperate again in my life.

“Desperation was what took me there to take my mother there, hoping that a man, quote and unquote would heal her. She lives here day and night, I still have conversations with her, she’s never left. When I’m done praying with God she is the next person, I know how many times my mum appeared to me in dreams, if she were to live twenty TB Joshuas will not stop her”.

The movie star added: “It was her time, nobody would have made me enter that space, he wasn’t the only one I went to, I have been to five or six men of God, is it because I don’t want to mention names?? How they drove me the money they took from me.”

The actor’s mother died on April 1, 2014 while TB Joshua died on June 5, 2021.
