  • Tecno Mobile sponsors BMW AutoFest

    SmaRtphone giant, Tecno Mobile at the weekend in Lagos, bankrolled the BMW Autofest, which held in Victoria Island, Lagos.

    In a statement, the firm said lovers of BMW and luxury cars  were there to add colour to the occasion.

    The event showcased BMW super car and power bike models of various kinds. As usual, Africa’s most preferred smartphone brand, Tecno was on hand to capture the colourful event as a sponsor.

    “The fun Tecno mascot, Tboy and its stunning cheerleaders, were also on ground to give guests at the event a chance to experience a variety of smartphones from the brand.

    “We are delighted that there was visible excitement in the air as stunt men displayed their skills in a parade of classic and more recent BMW car and bike models,” the statement read.

    While some say it is the biggest Autofest in Africa, others say it is best.

    “Whatever you choose to call it, this year’s edition was very well-befitting of the class and sophistication that Tecno and BMW are known for.

    “Plus, there was a prize giveaway, which further spiced up the event, in which one pleasantly surprised young lady emerged winner. Clearly, the Tecno brand is not just about awesome smartphones but also about awesome experiences for its many fans,” the statement added.

  • Kunle Afolayan’s IRE clothing supports Tecno Mobile

    AS part of the celebrations in February, known as the month of love,  Tecno Mobile, with support from Kunle Afolayan’s IRE clothing, Radisson Hotel Ikeja, and FilmHouse IMAX Cinemas Lekki, decided to give four couples a special valentine treat through an online activity called #IFYOULOVEME challenge which saw fans of the brand daring their loved ones to do something audacious.

    Emphasising the importance of love, Tecno created a Valentine activity that slightly took participants out of their comfort zone but allowed them to show love and make it memorable.

    “This is what Tecno Mobile is all about,” said TECNO’s PR and Strategic Partnership Manager, Jesse Oguntimehin, while expressing his satisfaction at the success of the campaign.

    “We love our fans and what better way to show it, than to encourage them to show love to their favourite people while we also give them a memorable experience.”

    Part of the entries received include a lady acting as a bus conductor and another taking over the role of a suya merchant. At the end, Azeezat Lawal, Anita Clement, Ofere Oluwatobi and Oluwatoni Animashaun were selected as winners as they had the most creative dare responses with the highest number of views.

  • TECNO mobile unveils CAMON 11 PRO

    Global premier mobile phone brand TECNO Mobile has announced new smartphones CAMON 11 and CAMON 11 PRO for bright and clear selfies with high quality.   • TECNO partners AFRIFF 2018

    As part of its commitment to developing and encouraging smartphone photography and film making, TECNO Mobile partnered the 2018 edition of the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).

    AFRIFF screened films in different categories including feature films, documentaries and short films.

    And as part of support for the festival, TECNO Mobile sponsored and presented the AFRIFF short film category award which was eventually won by ‘1745’. On hand to present the award were TECNO Nigeria’s Marketing Manager Abel Huo and T-BOY, the TECNO mascot.

    According to Jesse Oguntimehin, PR and Strategic Partnership Manager at TECNO, “TECNO does not only develop amazing products, we also create and partner with experiences that highlight the unique features of our devices. With the international nature of AFRIFF and its focus on film culture, we have brought the strength of our Camon series to the fore.   • Tecno mobile wins big at NTITA

    TECNO MOBILE, has once been recognised at the second edition of the Nigeria Tech Innovation and Telecoms Award. The NTITA acknowledges the contribution of leading tech brands and innovators in Africa. Held on the 12thOctober 2018  at the prestigious Oriental Hotel in Lagos, the Black tie event saw TECNO MOBILE crowned KING in two categories at the event.

    Recognized as one of the biggest tech awards ceremony in Africa, the NTITA had in attendance leaders from the top players in the technology and telecom companies in Africa many of whom were recognized at the event, however TECNO Mobile carted away two of the most prominent tech awards: The Most Popular Smartphone Brand of the year and Smartphone of The Year.

    TECNO mobile won (in) these two categories for its innovation, immense contribution to the Tech – space in Africa, its popularity amongst smartphone users, its excellence and leadership status in the industry, and the undying dedication to mobile technological advancement in Africa.

    TECNO’s camera-centric CAMON Series, which pack a powerful punch, were crowned the smartphone of the year based on the incredible sales and popularity of the device, combined with its incredible technology, design and user experience.

    Top musical acts, including Slim Case, Solidstar, DJ Consequence and celebrity On-Air-Personality (OAP) Do2Dtun, thrilled attendees, comprising students from top universities within and outside Lagos, media personalities, celebrities and top executives of the mobile giant, to a fun time.

    Guests were ushered in through the lit ‘dream tunnel’ towards the dream wall and red carpet, where they took pictures, wrote their dreams, mingle with other guests and interact with the media.

    Upcoming artists, such as, Aceberg, Chizzylon, Milly K, Cozy Miller, Ola Boy, Femi Silva and a host of others also thrilled the crowds.
