  • A Passion for Revenge comes next on Telemundo

    Coming on the heels of the new series, Under the Same Sky, which premiered on Telemundo DStv Channel 118 on February 8, A Passion for Revenge is another Multichoice’s offering this Valentine’s season.

    Airing from Monday, February 22, A Passion for Revenge is about the humble and hardworking Gallardo brothers’ quest for vengeance against the wealthy and powerful Del Junco family.

    When the body of young, beautiful, and pregnant Alma Gallardo is found in the Houston River, her brothers Arturo, Samuel, and Flavio believe the family of her lover Ignacio Del Junco is to blame. Taking the last name “Rey” to disguise their identity the brothers begin work as labourers at the sprawling Del Junco horse ranch to get closer to their enemy. With Ignacio already dead and learning how their beloved sister was mistreated by Ignacio’s family, the brothers set out for revenge against Ignacio’s widow, Cayetana, and his daughters Sofia, Irina, and Andrea. Their desire for vengeance and justice becomes more complicated when the Gallardo brothers and the Del Junco sisters begin to develop genuine feelings for each other. The plot thickens when Sofia’s scheming, opportunist husband and arms smugglers vows to stop at nothing to have the Del Junco ranch.

    The series will air its Catch Up episodes on Saturdays at 3:20pm.

  • NEW SERIES OF TELEMUNDO SWELL DSTV BOUQUETS

    WITH St. Valentine’s Day around the corner, two additional offerings have been added to DStv’s Telemundo; both celebrating love, with the intrigues and suspense that come with such dramas.

    The two series, Under the Same Sky and A Passion for Revenge are expected to start airing on Telemundo (channel 118) starting on Monday, February 8 and Monday, February 22 respectively.

    GOtv launches new drama series on Telemundo

    GOtv will premiere two new sensational telenovelas titled “Under the Sky” and “A Passion for Revenge”, on Telemundo on the 8th and 22nd of February, 2016 respectively.

    Under the Sky, one of the most watched drama series in parts of America, is the story of Carlos, an illegal immigrant widower working as a gardener to give the best he can to his youngest son, while bearing the pain of losing his eldest son to a gang. His life, full of sacrifices and hardships, takes a turn when he meets Adela, a beautiful and troubled gang member. Their connection is instantaneous, but their love is threatened by street violence, injustice and fierce opposition from Felicia, his eternal admirer.

    Under the Sky, according to the Nielsen, was in January rated the number one Spanish-language series in its time slot in New York, Washington, DC, Boston, Atlanta, Tampa, Phoenix and Denver among adults 18-49 and total viewers. The telenovela will begin airing on channel 14 on GOtv Plus Monday, 8 February at 4:10pm while the catch-up episodes run on Sundays at 11:10am.

    A Passion for Revenge begins on Monday 22 February at 5pm, while catch-up episodes come on Saturdays at 3:20pm. In A Passion for Revenge, Captain Nestor makes a gruesome discovery when he finds Alma Gallardo’s body. What happened in the past leading up to this shocking discovery?

    The Gallardos want justice for the Alma’s death, and they meet the Del Junco sisters. An investigation reveals that Alma took her own life. Captain Fernandez arrives at the Del Junco Ranch with an arrest warrant. Fernandez reveals that Montalvo may have been involved in Alma Gallardo’s death. Cayetana goes looking for Soledad and finds a picture of Alma. Leonardo tries to make a pass at Irina. Cayetana goes looking for Soledad and finds a picture of Alma Gallardo.

    New series debut on Telemundo

    Ahead of February 14, a date known worldwide as lovers’ day, pay television, Gotv, is set to excite with three new series on Telemundo, the telenovela channel that has taken viewers through a roller coaster ride with love, romance and betrayal stories.

    The schedule, as advertised by the company, begins on Monday, February 3 with Cruel Love; a series that talks about relationships as a game, through the eyes of carefree cousins – and lovers – Camila and Antonio Brando. These guys live a life of adventure, conquests and bets and mock those who have any true feelings for another person.

    However, when Antonio finds he is falling for the beautiful, though humble, Sofia, who he first saw at his own wedding, it marks a change in the kissing cousins’ duplicitous existence. Initially picking Sofia as his next victim, Antonio instead decides to pursue a genuine relationship, but when Camila finds out he has lost their ‘game’ by developing feelings for someone, she sets out to ruin things for him the only way she knows how.

    Coming on the heels of Cruel Love is Forbidden Passions, which premieres on Wednesday, February 17 and continues weekdays on GOtv Channel 13.

    The first chapter in this new telenovela, which promoters describe as a must-see, introduces the viewer to the world of the beautiful Bianca Santillana, who blames her mother, Flavia, for the death of her father. Her father dies, following a heart attack after catching Flavia cheating and learning she only married him for his money.

    Determined to take revenge on her mother, Bianca seduces Flavia’s love interest, Don Ariel Piamonte, to stop her getting the money she desperately seeks. However, when she meets Don Ariel’s handsome nephew, Bruno, Bianca falls madly in love. Can she and Bruno find a way to be together without hurting Don Ariel?

    This series stars Jencarlos Canela, who played Andres Santa Cruz cum Suarez in My Heart Beats for Lola, and definitely one to watch-out for.
