    My brother donated his kidney so I could live again – TG Omori

    Popular music director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori Smith, aka TG Omori, has revealed a life-threatening health challenge that has kept him out of the public eye. 

    In a post on his official X account, TG Omori shared his only brother donated a kidney to save his life.

    The kidney transplant surgery took place on Monday, August 26, 2024.

    TG Omori expressed gratitude for his brother’s selfless act, stating, “Yesterday my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again.” 

    He also shared his photos recovering in the hospital, captioning them “keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”

    This revelation has sparked an outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers, who have been concerned about his absence from the public scene.

    TG Omori fires back at troll over criticism of music video

    Popular music video director, TG Omori has fired back at a critic who disparaged his work on the music video for Kizz Daniel and Davido’s “Twe Twe.”

    Responding to a commenter on the X platform who suggested that Omori should take a break because of overheating, he questioned the relevance of the connection between music lyrics and a chicken depicted in the video.

    The troll wrote: “Shaky your body, Twe twe twe” Person dey pursue chicken. TG Omori should take a break small. Brain dey overheat.”

    The director of the “Twe Twe” remix video, TG Omori, responded by asking the troll if his suggestion was for them to shake their body throughout the video.

    TG Omori called the troll “daft,” stating that if he pursued chicken at some point in his life, he probably would have found his sense on the ground.

    He replied: “Make dem shaky your body from 00:01 to 2min. No plot, no joy, no scenes. Just body on screen? See how daft your life turned out. If you probably pursued chicken at some point in your life you for don find your sense for ground.”

    TG Omori blasts overzealous fan trying to ‘spoil work’ for him

    Popular music video director and cinematographer, TG Omori has rebuked an overzealous fan attempting to ‘steal his daily bread’ from him.

    The fan, Baba70 decided to hype Omori excessively by attributing the success of the music videos of a number of top Afrobeats acts to his craftsmanship.

    Baba70 claimed most of these singers’ work amassed massive views in a short while after their release simply because Omori shot them.

    Referencing Davido whose music video for his song, “Feel” was recently released and directed by Omori, the fan dared the DMW boss and the rest to engage the services of other music video directors and watch the videos struggle to garner views.

    The fan wrote: “I don’t want to mention names but I dare some artists like Davido to shoot a video without TG Omori.

    “I bet the video will struggle to get 2M views in five months.

    “Na Omori dey give y’all views. Na Omori we dey chop.”

    Boy Director Swifty tackled Baba70 for his unsolicited remark, cursing at him while warning him not to destroy his hustle.

    Practically screaming at the top of his lungs, Omori said: “You dey craze? I no send you that one o. No go spoil work for me, idiot!”
