    To enter the competition, participants must write a heartfelt note using each letter of “MUM” to describe their mother’s unique qualities and explain why she deserves to be Mum of the Year.     The brand has come up with a digital campaign to celebrate, promote and project Nigerian, African mothers in another unique way as it celebrates this year’ Mothers Day. This time around, the iconic brand is focusing the Mum’s hair!

    It would be recalled that Mother’s Day is symbolic and has been set aside world-wide to celebrate and acknowledge mothers. Thus, Three Crowns’ campaign is aimed at celebrating mothers as the crown jewel at the heart of every home.

    Interestingly, it is an acknowledged fact that the Hair is the Crown of every African Mother.     The brand is calling on Mums to upload pictures of their African hairstyles that look like a Crown to its social media platforms and they will be generously rewarded for this campaign, as the Senior Brand Manager, Omolara Banjoko explained, will drive conversation around Mums as the crown jewel at the heart of every home with emphasis on her African hairstyles” We know milk is very nutritious and has the essential vitamins especially “Vitamin E” that helps nourish the body inclusive of the hair hence we are calling on Nigerian Queens to show us how well they have nourished themselves. “This aligns with the brand positioning of Healthy Mums, Happy Families” .

    While further explaining on the belief that is driving the campaign, the Senior Brand Manager said, “Mums are saddled with physical and emotional responsibilities and often times undervalue her own needs for a great health and a great heart .The campaign is aimed at showcasing how Three Crowns cares and appreciates mum as the heart of the family”.

    In her words, “Hair, glorious hair; is the beautiful crown of the African woman; we want to celebrate the different hair styles of the African woman with her nourishing her hair with “Vitamin E” in Three Crowns Milk”.

    Some of the hair styles which shall be promoted through the campaign are Shuku, Didi, Koroba, Face-me-I-Face-You, etc, all of which are some of the hilarious names for hairstyles in Nigeria.

    While spelling out the details of the campaign, Banjoko explained that the teaser stage will see participating mums acquainting themselves with the details via hashtag #ThreeCrownsAfricanQueen and #ThreeCrownsMilk; while they will thereafter share their hairstyles via the same hash tag #ThreeCrownsAfricanQueen; #ThreeCrownsMilk;. The Campaign phase proper holds between May 6 and May 12 – Mothers Day. During this period, they are expected to upload pictures of their beautiful hairstyles using the hashtag #ThreeCrownsAfricanQueen and #ThreeCrownsMilk.

    The grand finale of the campaign will hold in Owerri, Imo State on Sunday, May 12 while the video of the winning hairstyles would be revealed on or before Friday, May 17. The brand advises that the more stylish and regal the hairstyle is, the better, assuring all that there is a reward for their creativity.

  • Three mothers to win grand prize in Mum of the Year campaign

    Three Crowns Milk, Nigeria’s top dairy brand and a flagship product from the stable of FrieslandCampina WAMCO has raised the stakes in its Mum of the Year (MOTY) campaign for 2018 as it flags off this year’s edition of the competition.

    The Senior Brand Manager of company, Mrs. Omolara Banjoko disclosed to newsmen in Lagos, that three mums would win the grand prize at this year’s edition, instead of just one mother as in previous years.

    Mrs. Olamide Olaleye emerged the first Three Crowns Mum of the Year winner in 2015; Mrs. Nkechi Brayila won in 2016 while Mrs. Oluwakemi Longe was crowned Mum of the Year in 2017.

    They were all rewarded with all expenses paid vacation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with specified numbers of their family members by the brand, in addition to which they enjoyed brand ambassadorial statuses and one year supply of Three Crowns Milk.

    While reflecting on her trip to Dubai on winning the competition in 2015, Mrs Olaleye expressed her appreciation and promised to remain a Three Crowns Milk brand ambassador for her entire life time.

    In line with the spirit of love and celebration meant to represent the St. Valentine’s Day, Three Crowns Milk, Nigeria’s leading low cholesterol milk brand from the stables of FrieslandCampina WAMCO recently hosted 10 lucky winners of this year’s Valentine Promo to a special dinner treat.

    The exquisite dinner which was attended by the winner and their mother or spouse took place last week at Radisson Blu Hotel, Lagos, Ikeja. This year’s edition of the competition tagged ‘Three Crowns Milk Love-in-a-Card Valentine Competition’ ran from February 2, 2018 till February 13, 2018 and recorded several entries on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

    To participate, interested participants were required to send a 150-word message to threecrownscompetitions@gmail.com alongside a picture of their mum describing an event where she had made a long lasting love memory.

    Speaking during the special dinner treat, the Senior Brand Manager, Three Crowns Milk, Mrs. Omolara Banjoko, explained that the Love-in-a-Card Valentine campaign was one of the many ways through which the brand celebrates the season with its esteemed consumers and their loved ones.

    Mrs. Nkechi Brayila is the 2016 Three Crowns Milk Mum-of-the-Year. She defeated four other finalists at the grand finale of the competition at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

    The panel of judges, comprising Nollywood stars Mercy Aigbe-Gentry, Annie Idibia, and popular chef Uzor Orimalade declared Mrs. Brayila winner having scored the highest mark in the three stages of the competition; Fitness, Smartness and Fun Tests.

    Mrs. Brayila would be rewarded with an all-expense paid trip for a family of five to an exotic location with one-year supply of Three Crowns Milk.

    The second place winner Mrs. Olabisi Omolabi was rewarded with a double door refrigerator, the third person won a washing machine while the fourth and the fifth placed contestants were given consolatory prizes of N50,000 shopping voucher each. The finalists also went home with cartons of Three Crowns Milk.

    According to the firm, it is to enable mothers to have more ways of caring themselves and their families.

    Its Director of Communication, Ore Famurewa, said the introduction followed the demand of consumers, especially mothers. “Three Crowns milk has repositioned as the brand that cares for mothers so they can continue to take extra care of the family,” he said.
