    Nigerian-born UK-based civil engineer, philanthropist, and digital creator, Idongesit Etukudo Isemin, formerly known as the “TikTok King,” has officially embraced a new identity — King Kaly — which he says better reflects his purpose, royalty, and journey beyond social media.

    Speaking during a recent visit to Nigeria, Isemin explained his decision to shift from the popular title “TikTok King” to “King Kaly.” 

    According to him, the TikTok King label has become widely used by many content creators, but the name King Kaly captures his unique mission, authenticity, and the legacy he is building.

    “The title ‘TikTok King’ is shared by many, but my real crown is my impact, my philanthropy, and my authentic self,” he said. “I am no longer just TikTok King; I am King Kaly — a name that embodies my purpose and my identity.”

    King Kaly, who rose to prominence through inspiring and engaging content, is widely known for his impactful live streams, charity initiatives, and TikTok battles. 

    He has used his platform not just to entertain, but to uplift and transform lives, particularly through philanthropy in Nigeria.

    Reflecting on his platform’s impact, he said: “It’s more than just entertainment. It’s about making a difference. I want my followers to see that behind the content is a purpose — to inspire change and spread positivity.”

    In one of his Instagram posts featuring a photo from a recent philanthropic outreach in Akwa Ibom State, King Kaly captioned: “You can now call me King KALY. It’s time to redefine the narrative and reclaim my true identity. My crown isn’t just on TikTok; it’s in my purpose, my philanthropy, and my authenticity.”

    While conversations around who truly holds the “TikTok King” crown continue, King Kaly is focused on legacy. “True royalty is about the legacy you leave behind,” he said. “That’s why I prefer to be called King Kaly — it resonates with who I am and what I stand for.”
