The general manager of Katsina State Water Board, Tukur Hassan Tingilin, has said that Governor Dikko Umar Radda often shed tears most nights, each time he went to file security reports to him, thanks to the persistent banditry attacks that ravage villages and communities
Tingilin, who is also a member of the sub-committees on the rehabilitation of displaced victims of banditry attacks, disclosed that Yar-Teba village in Malumfashi local government area of Katsina state, one of the villages recently ravaged by banditry attacks
He said: “Governor Radda is pained by the persistent loss of lives and the disruption of the economic and social lives of the people by bandits and has deployed several efforts both kinetic and non-kinetic measures to fight insecurity at the front line LGAs and the state at large.
He has vowed to terminate terrorist activities in the state within the lifespan of his administration and is ready to deploy all the needed resources and attention at his disposal to that effect.’’
Meanwhile, the senior special assistant on victims of banditry and IDPs Sa’idu Ibrahim Danja Kogunan has announced the governor’s plan to restore lives and economic activities in the communities affected by the various banditry attacks

The special assistant told the communities that the visit and condolence to the families of those who lost their lives was part of the governor’s plans to assist them and the injured victims who were affected by banditry in the areas
He further warned the youths against involving themselves in any form of criminality, adding that the present administration in the state will not take lightly such conduct with both the bandits and the communities
The villages that were visited include Yar-Teba, Mai Farin Kai, Gidan bangaje, and Unguwar Gambo, all in Malumfashi LGAs
The visitors were received by the local government chairman, Maharazzu Adamu Dayi, GM Katsina State Water Board, Tukur Hassan Tingilin, District heads and Imams of the areas
Over N13m was disbursed to 35 members of the families of those who were killed by the bandits in the villages visited by the government’s team
