In an exclusive interview, Tjay, a recently evicted housemate from the popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija Season 9, shared his emotional experience in the house. Tjay, who entered the competition as part of the BETA pair with his friend, Ben, described his journey on the show as an evolution.
Speaking on his time in the house, the former housemate revealed that adjusting to the environment was initially challenging.
“I wasn’t used to having so many entertainers and people in the social life, media life in one space. So, it was a bit strange for me, but I tried to learn as much as I can from people so I just soaked it all in, but as time went on, I started having real friendships, forming bonds, and forming alliances. Obviously, eventually, some friendships didn’t probably go too well,” he said.
Despite the ups and downs, the reality TV star expressed satisfaction with how he evolved in the game and showcased various aspects of his personality.

As a medical doctor, Tjay plans to leverage his newfound platform to impact public health positively.
He revealed his intention to establish a foundation focused on mental health, particularly addressing issues such as depression and trauma. “Initially, I had a discussion with Handi about it in the house, if she’s open to collaborating, we can actually talk further about that when everybody’s a bit more settled. That’s something I plan to do as a way of giving back to the community,” he explained.
