    TNN to hold talks with political parties over coalition

    The leadership of Team New Nigeria (TNN) – an association will engage with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other political parties in order to form a coalition ahead of the 2027 general election.

    The National Secretary of the TNN National Communication Bureau, Professor Morgan Sarki, who confirmed that the talks will hold this weekend in Abuja, also disclosed that the association is holding coalition talks with several other registered political parties besides the ADC.

    According to him, “although these talks are ongoing, final agreements may be reached next month.”

    Gambo noted that nothing concrete had emerged from the discussions so far, adding that the primary motivation behind the coalition efforts is to strengthen social cohesion, promote nation-building, deepen democratic participation, and pursue joint programmes against tribalism, nepotism, and all forms of intolerance.

    2027: TNN announces registration of 43 million members  

    Team New Nigeria (TNN), an emerging political party, has announced a registered membership of 43 million as it unveiled its logo and symbols at Kano Pillars Stadium, along France Road, Kano, over the weekend.

    TNN President, Modibbo Yakubun Farakwai, also inaugurated eight committees tasked with advancing the party’s registration process. 

    He revealed that the membership registration and Harmonisation Committee, chaired by Senator Ibrahim Muhammad, successfully registered 43 million members.

    Explaining the party’s flag, Farakwai stated that the Green represents growth, responsibility, and sacrifice; White symbolizes peace, redemption, and unity; Red stands for solidarity, courage, and love; while Black signifies emancipation, justice, and honor. 

    The party’s motto is “Unite and Rebuild the Nation,” with “Greater Nigeria” as its slogan.

    As part of preparations for the 2027 general election, TNN inaugurated several committees, including the Legal and Constitutional Compliance Committee, chaired by Professor Muhammad Zakari Yaro; the Political Management Committee, led by Professor Silva Opuala-Charles; and the Contact and Mobilisation Committee, chaired by Alhaji Omar Yusuf Aiyelabegan. Other committees include Finance (Dr. Adebayo Akin-Omotuyi), Publicity (Dr. Mohammed Adah Shaibu), Structure (Professor Iheanacho Agboti), and Convention (Professor Waziri Garba Dahiru).

    Farakwai emphasized that TNN is committed to promoting human rights, participatory democracy, and responsible governance, with the ultimate goal of fostering a united and progressive Nigeria.
