Nigeria’s Toluwalase Arokodare returned to the top of the goals scorers chart in the Belgium Jupiler League following his  brace as  Genk secured  a point at Royal Antwerp following a 2-2 draw.

Arokodare has now scored 13 goals and he is ahead of Anderlecht’s Kasper Dolberg ( 12 goals); St Truiden’s  Andriano Bertaccini (11 goals); Cercle Brugge’s Kevin Denkey  (10 goals) and Royal Antwerp’s Tjaronn Chery ( 8 goals).

The Nigerian has played all 20 league games for Genk with 13 goals and four assists to ensure Genk remain atop the table with 42 points from 20 games keeping Club Brugge with Raphael Onyedika at bay in second spot with 41 points from as many games.

Genk will next face St. Truiden in a Belgium Cup tie on January 7^th  before the continuation of the league season four days later against Oud Haverlee Leuven.

Nigeria’s Toluwalase Arokodare has revealed that the support he gets from the Genk fans is among the reasons he is performing in the Belgian league this season.

Arokodare was one of the goal scorers on Sunday in RKC Genk 2-0 win over Anderlecht. He provided the assist for the second goal as well.

With the victory, Genk secured a ninth consecutive home win in the Jupiler League this season.

Arokodare has scored 11 goals and made 6 assists this season to stay in the lurch for the highest scorer’s award at the end of the season.
