The Senior Pastor, Trinity House, Pastor Itua Ighodalo has thrown his weight behind a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that is championing the course of getting reading books for millions of Nigerian children that don’t have reading books.

The NGO, Young African Bookworms- was at the pastor’s church on Sunday for the flag-off of the initiative.

The elite pastor freely donated fun reading books and he encouraged Nigerians to do likewise.

According to the Funmilola James one of the NGO volunteers, “the initiative is a one-month awareness program which is staring off in Lagos. The train will move round Nigeria. And within one month we hope to get good numbers of reading books to shared and used to revive the culture to read among our young adult,” said.

One of the rights of a child is education. This is one understanding we all should share and be ready to support. There are lots of children out there that like to read but the question is do they have a book or the right book to read? We all know how bad reading culture is these days but we can still help the situation by donating to right the wrong.
