Publicist Kehinde Ajose urges Tunde Ednut to rebrand

Nigerian visibility strategist and publicist, Kehinde Ajose, has sparked conversations online after publishing an opinion piece in which he advised popular blogger and entertainer, Tunde Ednut, to embark on a major rebrand.

In the article titled “Tunde Ednut needs a rebrand: here’s how he can do it,” Ajose acknowledged Tunde’s success in building a large and loyal following on social media but stressed that his brand remains fragile due to its heavy reliance on Instagram, a platform where his accounts have faced multiple suspensions over the years.

“Tunde Ednut has survived multiple Instagram bans, but his current model is not sustainable for the long term. To remain relevant, he must evolve into a full-fledged media entrepreneur with a proper structure and diversified income streams,” Ajose wrote.

He went further to caution, “Without a rebrand, Tunde Ednut risks being overtaken by competitors.”

Ajose’s piece has ignited reactions from media observers and social commentators who believe the advice is timely. Among them was journalist and public affairs commentator Eniola Daniel, who echoed similar concerns in the comment section of the article.

He wrote, “These points are very germane. Note: Tunde Ednut is a blogger, even though he doesn’t want to be called that. He doesn’t create content but posts.”

Tunde Ednut, a former musician who transitioned into digital entertainment, commands millions of followers online and has become a household name for his engaging posts, viral content, and giveaways.

However, Ajose’s call for rebranding highlights the growing conversation about the sustainability of social media-driven brands and the need for influencers to diversify beyond a single platform.
