Football stakeholders and ex-internationals have commended Super Eagles star, Bright Osayi-Samuel, for providing a platform for aspiring footballers to exhibit their skills and also win prize money.
They were among fans that witnessed the grand finale of the Bright Osayi-Samuel U-13 Football Tournament held at Crescent Sports Centre in Irirhi, Benin, Edo State.
It was bankrolled by the Edo State-born Fenerbahce star.
In the final game which featured Edo Dynamo FC and Rising Stars of Auchi, Edo Dynamo won with a lone goal scored by Wisdom Eguamwense, to claim a trophy and N1 million cash prize.

Eguwmwense also won the top scorer of the tournament award with his six goals. Rockers FC defeated Ugbowo Bombers 3-0 to win the bronze medal. Rising Stars got N750,000, while Rockers FC got N500,000 for finishing in the third position, and fourth-placed Ugbowo Bombers got N250,000. Outstanding players also went home assorted prizes.
As part of the side attractions on the final day, Edo State Sports Writers met with the state’s chapter of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association in a novelty game won 1-0 by the Felix Evhodi-led coaches body.
