    Uche Montana denies drug claims in Regina Daniels, Ned Nwoko feud

    Actress Uche Montana has broken silence on the ongoing controversy surrounding Senator Ned Nwoko and estranged wife, Regina Daniels.

    In a statement on Instagram, Uche Montana denied allegations that linked her to Regina’s drug-related issues, stating that she has no involvement or connection to the situation.

    She wrote: “I wasn’t going to say anything, but I feel it’s important to clear the air. My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims.

    “For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace”.

    The controversy began when Ned Nwoko accused Regina Daniels’ colleagues, including Uche Montana, of undermining rehabilitation by bringing her the same drugs she was being treated for.

    “Unfortunately, Sammy, Destiny, some of their siblings, together with a few of their friends, notably Uche Montana among others, constantly defied those instructions. They would come into the house uninvited, sometimes forcing their way in, and would bring her the same drugs she was being treated for. Instead of helping her recover, they encouraged her addiction and completely frustrated the efforts of the doctors and therapists working with her,” he alleged.

    However, Uche Montana, on Monday morning, denied these allegations, stating that she is focused on her career and peace.

    Beyond her acting career, Uche Montana is also an accomplished producer and screenwriter. She won the Moreklue All Youth Awards (Maya) for Best Supporting Actress in the TV series “Hush.”

    Twenty-six -year-old Uche Nwaefuna is the newest darling of the tube, who is best known and regarded as Uche Montana.

    Since breaking into the industry – a decade ago – with her appearance in ‘Poison Ivy,’ her role interpretation skills and delivery has continued to be on the rise.

    Putting in the work for the last 10 years, Uche Montana has showcased depth in role delivery as well as decisiveness as to what is required to breathe life into her character in over 35 films.

    In her words, “I am a free spirited person but very ambitious, too ambitious for myself and very hardworking.”

    2024 was one of the best years for Uche Montana, who became the darling of many after her impressive role in the Africa Magic television series, ‘Hush,’ which aired between 2016 and 2017.

    If Uche Montana had won thousands of fans to her acting prowess and abilities with her roles in ‘The Three Wise Men,’ ‘Hire a Woman,’ and ‘Banana Island Ghost,’ her appearances in Biodun Stephen’s ‘Roses and Ivy,’ as well as Mercy Aigbe’s ‘ThinLine,’ which both were released in December 2024 have won her millions of fans in and outside the shores of Nigeria.

    Getting to know Uche Montana in a short interview on EliaLand, she described herself as one who is too nice to a fault.

    “I am too nice to the point where I get taken advantage of and I know that because people have told me and my sister has warned me. She thinks I am too nice, she thinks I am too calm. However, when I get upset, I am not even funny. I am very outspoken,” she said.

    In a short 2024 interview, she admits to liking being financially loaded and enjoying a local dish known as ‘Ewa Aganyin,’ but says her elder sister would be more of a business minded person than herself.

    As delectable and elegant as she appears, there’s a very soft side to Uche Montana, who admitted to having had a crush on a guy from her JSS 1 days till SSS 3 days. “I had a crush in high school from my JSS1 to SSS3 and he never for one time looked at my side. Nothing happened, we graduated and I moved on. He’s doing his thing now and I am doing my thing.”

    It’s no gainsaying that Uche Montana has risen through several roles and films and is set to take over the baton from Rita Dominic, whom many mirror her career with.
