    Nigeria too expensive to live, leave – Veeiye

    Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Victoria Adeleye popularly known as Veeiye, has voiced frustration with Nigeria’s economic challenges, likening the situation to a “social experiment.”

    In a post on her X page, Veeiye stated: “Nigeria: too expensive to live, too expensive to leave. Almost feels like a social experiment. It’s like they want to see how much people can take.”

    Big Brother Naija reality star and actress, Victoria Adeleye, aka Veeiye has argued dating in Lagos is more complicated than ever.

    She noted that human communication is no longer what it used to be affecting the nature of relationships currently.

    The reality star said her emotional nature is also another reason she is sceptical about dating in Lagos.

    Speaking recently on Clout Africa, Vee said: “The dating scene in Lagos is a bit harder than usual. As late millennials, early Genzs we are going for it right now, human communication is not what it used to be.

    “I avoid situations before I get heartbroken. I’m a soft, romantic, lover girl so a bit of a balance between the brain and the mind, that is the constant battle for me.”

    Vee and colleague, Neo Akpofure began dating after falling in love on the reality show in 2020 but broke up shortly after. 

    Vee accused Neo’s cousin, Venita Akpofure of being partly responsible for their breakup.

    Former BBNaija housemate, Victoria Adeleye popularly known as Vee has shared her two cents on marriage.

    According to her, marriage isn’t something she regards because people break their vows every day.

    The actress said she understood what it meant to be in a committed relationship but not sure marriage was necessary.

    Vee stated in an interview with Clout Africa that she does not feel that marriage is necessary in her life.

    She suggested that as she gets older, her opinions on marriage might change, attributing this viewpoint to her youth.

    She also mentioned that her experiences in the past might have affected her decision not to pursue marriage.

    Vee confessed that she had never been in a relationship where she had aspirations of settling down or making a lasting commitment.

    “Being married is not a form of insurance at all, it is just vows and people break their vows every single day. 

    “I want to be in a place where I feel secure, I don’t necessarily feel like marriage is all in all for me, that’s my view or maybe because I am young. 

    “I haven’t experienced true love per say. I have only been in relationships, I haven’t settled myself to be with someone I really feel is my soulmate, so for now, the concept of marriage doesn’t really make sense to me,” she said.

    Taking to the X platform she informed followers that she was worried over the way she acted when she had alcohol in her system.

    She said she gets too friendly with alcohol in her system unlike in real life.

    She also further revealed that the hangovers from taking alcohol were getting worse.

    “It’s time to wrap it up with alcohol. The hangovers are getting worse. I’m probably drinking hand sanitizer and m way too friendly when I’m intoxicated ‘m done,” she wrote.

    Reality TV star Vee Iye has opened up on the reason her relationship with Neo Akpofure didn’t sail.

    In an interview with Monie Talks podcast, Vee discussed the significant role played by Venita, Neo’s cousin, in the breakdown of their romantic involvement.

    Vee vehemently said that she would not forgive her even if an apology was issued publicly.

    She reiterated her stance on not tolerating negative energy, stating that an apology from Venita wouldn’t alter her decision.

    She pointed out that crucial issues were overlooked but important aspects of the problem were not properly addressed.

    Vee said that the lack of proper resolution contributed to her decision to end the relationship.

    She stated: “If Venita apologises, I won’t forgive her cause I am not stupid…I can’t stay around such negative energy referring to Venita (proceeds to ask them not to edit that part out)…we(Neo and her) couldn’t work cause there was a very big obstacle (Tbaj) then and I was made to feel like I was overreacting…if I was in the house with them(Neo and Tbaj), I would’ve lost my mind and would’ve been disqualified…it was not dealt with the right way and a lot was swept under the carpet…feels good to know I was right.”

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Victoria Adeleye, popularly known as Veeiye, has explained her absence from the recently concluded All-Stars season, citing the romantic involvement between her ex-boyfriend, Neo, and fellow colleague Tolanibaj as the reason.

    She said Neo and Tolani’s romantic escapades on the reality show confirmed her suspicion that her ex was involved with Tolanibaj when they were together.

    Speaking in the latest episode of the Moni Talks podcast, Vee said when she suspected that Neo and Tolani were romantically involved, her ex told her that she was “paranoid and overthinking” but the BBNaija All Stars show vindicated her.

    She said: “Now that we’ve watched Big Brother Naija All Stars, I feel vindicated. I wouldn’t call it vindication. I would call it more of people seeing that there is always gonna be a bigger picture.

    “No matter what you think you see, there is something underneath the situation that you don’t know about. Neo and Tolani Baj going on that show, obviously, brought it out. And that is the reason I did not go on the show.”

    Former Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ housemate Veeiye has cried out the unbearable pain that comes with menstrual cycle. 

    She bemoaned the uncontrollable discomfort the cycle put her in while questioning the work of scientists if they can’t find a solution to ease ladies of their monthly pain.

    Vee  stated this on her X app where she announced that she is hanging on a bare thread.

    She tweeted: “So not one single scientist has figured out how to make periods bearable? I’m hanging on a bare thread.”
