    I don’t have shame, Venita knocks critics over nudity in video

    Venita Akpofure, a former Big Brother Naija reality star and actress turned rapper, has responded to criticism regarding nudity in her latest rap video, ‘Gen Z Cypher,’ featuring Magnito.

    The Nation reported that Venita posted a clip of the video on her X handle, prompting criticism from users regarding her scantily clad appearance.

    The social media users noted that it was shameful for Venita, who is a mother, to flaunt nudity.

    He wrote: “Person wey get three pikin’ for house see wetin she wear her shame dey shame me.”

    However, responding, Venita said she was following the footsteps of her idol, Beyoncé who is also a mother of three but wears bodysuits to perform and is a billionaire household name.

    She wrote: “My dear I no Dey shame, keep your shame for yourself, I go Dey follow my Beyoncé jejely de go. Who also has 3 kids, wears bodysuits to perform and is a billionaire household name. Go hard = Venita. Go home = you.”

    Reality star Venita Akpofure has discouraged the idea of getting married early while explaining the benefits of getting married after 28.  

    Venita explained this during an interview with Tacha on her Radio Big Friday Show on Cool FM.

    The mother of two advised young ladies below 28 to avoid getting married because she is in love with her boyfriend from school or for other reasons. 

    She advised ladies to enjoy their youth before getting tied down by marriage.

    “Don’t marry young o! Don’t go and do “I’m doing high school sweetheart, we die here”, just be young! Be young, enjoy your life. When you’re tired, get married.”

    According to Venita, she won’t allow her daughter to get married when she is less than 28 because as a young lady, you need to try different aspects of life with different experiences before deciding to get stuck in the union called marriage.

    “Do not marry young, I’m saying ideally — okay if my daughter came and approached me that she was ready to get married, if my daughter approaches me, as long as she’s not I swear to God, not up to 28, we can rock with it. Anything below 28, please no.”

    “Because you’re going to change your mind and you don’t know all of who you are at 20-something. Don’t get me wrong, there are people who are mature oh. But you need to try different things in life, different experiences, to be sure of okay, I want to be stuck here. Because it’s handcuff, you’re there.”

    “Because you’re stuck – that’s the social idea. Unless you’re Westernized like me, then you’re unstuck, you can unstuck yourself. I’m divorced. The ones that are enjoying now, ‘ll probably still reach a time where they’ll probably hate each other and still have to be in the same space.

    “I’m telling you! Why do you think to say them get madam room and oga room? When the ground is shaking and I need space, I need space. Be in your room, I’ll be in my room. To me, an ideal marriage, my husband would have a wonderful house here, and mine would be over here, and there would be magnificent corridors connecting the two houses.”

    Former BBNaija housemate, Venita Akpofure has opened up on how she misses being intimate and having someone close to talk to.

    She said the connection that comes with having a partner is lacking.

    The mother of two revealed this in her latest interview with Aura magazine while discussing her personal life.

    Speaking about the emotions associated with her relationship history, Venita noted that she misses the intimacy that comes with having a man in her life.

    The actress also talked about raising her kids as a single mother

    “I do miss the intimacy of having someone to talk to about everything.

    ” However, the children’s father hasn’t significantly contributed to their lives. So, whether he’s present or not, it wouldn’t affect what the children need,” she said.

    Ex-Big Brother Naija All Stars participant, Venita Akpofure, has clarified her relationship with her supposed close ally, Mercy Eke.

    The mother of two, during her recent interview with media personality, Toke Makinwa, stated that she was not friends with Mercy Eke before the All-Stars started.

    Recall that the duo were somewhat close during their stay in the Big Brother Naija house in the season 8 edition.

    Speaking of their relationship, Venita said: “I was not friends with Mercy before the show. I do see her once or twice a year at shows or parties because we are not in each other’s circle.

    “I was surprised at the narrative from fans that I betrayed my friend, Mercy Eke.

    “I don’t wish her any ill, my hands are completely clear, and my conscience is clear”.
