    ‘Fool at 40’: Venita reacts, throws jab at Veeiye

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Venita Akpofure, has responded to an alleged shade from her colleague, Veeiye, after being labeled as a ‘fool at 40.’ 

    The disagreement began when Venita endorsed a disparaging tweet directed at Vee, shortly after Vee shared a glimpse of her undisclosed romantic partner, hinting at a new relationship.

    Recall that Vee faced accusations for flaunting a sneak peek of her newfound man as a response to a charming snapshot of her former boyfriend, Neo Akpofure, alongside his new girlfriend, Beauty.

    Responding to the ‘fool at 40’ jab, the mother of two took to her X platform to address Vee, urging her to let bygones be bygones.

    She wrote: “I’m not Jesus. I cannot perform miracles and I cannot raise Lazarus from the dead. Namaste. The past should stay exactly where it belongs…in the very stiff back.”

    Her reaction comes after Queen Atang received so much love from social media users after getting married to King David Oyekanmi.

    Despite her single mother status, the former BBN housemate was given another chance at love with a man who loves her and her daughter.

    Venita, via her Snapchat, claimed she was speaking out of the experience as she has been demonised many times by other women because of her status as a single mother.

    In her words: “I hope the women and mothers who support her extend that same grace in real life, especially If and when a GOOD woman who already has a child/children becomes the choice of affection of their sons and/or brothers

    “And yes I’m speaking from experience as a single mother with kids who are regularly demonised by other women (who don’t know me personally) online”.

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Venita Akpofure has officially stated that she and her co-star lover, Adekunle are no longer dating.

    Venita cleared the air while featuring in an interview on The Big Friday Show, hosted by Tacha when questioned about her connection with Adekunle.

    The mother of two revealed that they are currently taking different paths.

    She said: “He’s fine. He’s okay. But he is definitely walking his own path. His journey and my journey are completely different,”

    “I’m significantly older, so I have more experience in life. So, I know a bit more about the direction I want to go in. Also, this is my field of work.     The Nation reported that the duo got loved up in the 2023 All-Stars edition of the reality show.

    The reality TV star, in a post creating waves on social media, proudly displayed the substantial cheque she received from her fans while posing for the camera with her daughters.

    Photos showcasing the numerous gifts received by the reality TV star were also uploaded on social media, serving as proof of the gifts received.

    Shortly after, the reality TV star, in appreciation of her fans’ generosity, shared an appreciation message on her media page.

    She wrote: “LOTW is Up! I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful well wishes, prayers, gifts, words of affirmation, and the INSANE love that I have been receiving, especially in the last 24 hours. God bless you all for me and replenish you all a hundredfold.”

    Reality TV star Vee Iye has opened up on the reason her relationship with Neo Akpofure didn’t sail.

    In an interview with Monie Talks podcast, Vee discussed the significant role played by Venita, Neo’s cousin, in the breakdown of their romantic involvement.

    Vee vehemently said that she would not forgive her even if an apology was issued publicly.

    She reiterated her stance on not tolerating negative energy, stating that an apology from Venita wouldn’t alter her decision.

    She pointed out that crucial issues were overlooked but important aspects of the problem were not properly addressed.

    Vee said that the lack of proper resolution contributed to her decision to end the relationship.

    She stated: “If Venita apologises, I won’t forgive her cause I am not stupid…I can’t stay around such negative energy referring to Venita (proceeds to ask them not to edit that part out)…we(Neo and her) couldn’t work cause there was a very big obstacle (Tbaj) then and I was made to feel like I was overreacting…if I was in the house with them(Neo and Tbaj), I would’ve lost my mind and would’ve been disqualified…it was not dealt with the right way and a lot was swept under the carpet…feels good to know I was right.”

    Ex-Big Brother Naija All-Stars Adekunle Olopade has revealed he was drawn to Venita’s intelligence at the initial stage before he took it a step further. 

    The sapiosexual reality star said his intention before entering into the house for a second time was to interact with more female housemates as he lacked in that area the previous year.

    Bad Boy Deks, as he’s fondly called, disclosed in a recent interview with Africa Magic that he fell in love with Venita after she caught a joke he threw in the House.

    He told the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that it was never his intention to enter into a relationship in the House but Venita stole his heart with her intellectual qualities.

    Adekunle said: “To be honest, I didn’t focus on getting into a relationship, but I know that in my previous season I didn’t interact with women much. So my plan this time around was to interact with more women.

    “I noticed Venita in the first week. I threw a joke in the air and she was the only one that caught it. I actually like intelligent women. I was like I’m going to pay extra attention to her. And she was very different from the rest of the housemates. So, I saw an opportunity to get to know her.

    “When I was the Head of House, I was the only one upstairs. And I was like I’m not going to sleep alone this time around. So, I took her up.”

    He said he learnt a lot about the dynamics of relationship from his affair with Venita in the House.
