    After a video of top comic actor Charles Awurum in Canada surfaced, rumours began flying around that he had relocated.

    Debunking the claims and quickly nipping it in the bud, Awurum’s close friend and colleague, Victor Osuagwu disclosed that Awurum is in Canada for vacation.

    He revealed that Awurum had simply taken a break from his busy schedule.

    “He went on vacation, not that he ran away,” Osuagwu explained. “As soon as he’s done with his holiday, he will return to the country to continue with his lined-up projects.”

    Victor Osuagwu urges colleagues to prepare ahead of retirement

    Nigerian actor Victor Osuagwu has advised his colleagues to consider planning ahead of their retirement and old age.

    Osuagwu emphasised the importance of financial and emotional preparation ahead of old age.

    Speaking on the need to prepare for old age, Osuagwu highlighted the unpredictable nature of fame and fortune.

    He further said that the entertainment industry’s volatility necessitates thoughtful planning to ensure a comfortable and secure retirement.

    “Acting is a professional course but you don’t limit yourself to that area of entertainment especially when you have gotten to a particular point in your life. You can be acting to open the doors for you and when the favour start coming from somewhere, you should be able to invest in one or two other things believing that the way you are might not be the way you’re going to be in future, at least you must consider the time for old age,” he said.

    Continuing, he said, “When you’re young there would be roles coming from everywhere but when you’re no longer active, you will be limited to a particular point where they would ask you to play roles like a father or King, you should be thinking of switching into other things that relates to entertainment.

    “Somebody like me, I have a hospitality business where I serve people food, I serve bands and the rest of them. I distribute drinks so I don’t just sit down and watch,” he concluded.
