Not less than Six West African countries have arrived Abuja for the 13th West Africa Deaf Football/3rd Athletics Championships that began on Tuesday, 19th August, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
The technical Committee meeting of all the participating countries where issues surrounding the championships were trashed out , was held on Tuesday as packaged by the West Africa Deaf Sports Union ( WADSU ) under the Able leadership of Mr Amuda Yusuf Ibrahim.

The two week championship holding at the Package ‘A’ of the MKO Abiola stadium is in commemoration of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African states (ECOWAS ) and will end on 30th August.
President of WADSU, Ibrahim declared the meeting open by officially welcoming all the participants before leaving the floor open for other technical matters. Vice chairman of the Nigeria Deaf Sports Federation ( NDSF) and Chairman of the Main Organising Committee (MOC)/Local Organising committee, Comrade Olawale Ige-Jenyo, tendered an unreserved apology for any lapses witnessed so far .
