On  July 28, he was announced as the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources.

Little did many know that though Wahab might have been trained, and practiced as a legal practitioner for over two decades, his managerial acumen and experience in leading people have always earned him sparkling records.

His success as a Special Adviser on Education to Sanwo-Olu left many applauding him with sweet memories that have seen achievements in the state-owned tertiary institutions.

Sanwo-Olu expressed that the Clean-Up of Lagos, getting rid of waste and reducing pollution is a shared vision and collective effort that demands out-of-the-box thinking and extreme discipline, which Wahab has judiciously displayed in the last three months of assuming the role of commissioner.

While lauding Wahab, Sanwo-Olu enjoined Lagos residents to join hands with Wahab and the Lagos State government in achieving the success of this goal.
