    Jollof rice for children, Eba superior to Amala – American rapper Wale

    American rapper, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin better known as Wale has weighed in on Nigerian delicacies rating  Eba over Amala and declares that Jollof rice belongs to children.

    He asserted via his X app that jollof rice is food for children because rice and stew is way better.

    He further declared that Eba is superior to Amala and speculated that jollof spaghetti is going platinum since its arrival.

    According to Wale, yam and egg is the most underrated Nigerian delicacy.

    His words: “Hot takes. (Please don’t jump me). Jollof rice is for children. Rice and stew is where it’s at. Eba is superior to amala. Idk when jollof spaghetti came out but it’s goin platinum ever since its arrival. Ayamase with out egg is a crime. Yam and Egg the most underrated naij delicacy. I swear. (Small small sugar on the yam)”

    Nigerian entertainer sued for snubbing show in U.S

    Nigerian-American rapper, Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, simply called Wale has caught the ire of show promoters, Upfront and Personal Global, headed by multimillionaire, Paul Okoye,  for failing to show-up at the One Africa Music Festival, a show he was hugely paid for.
    Wale, who resides in Washington DC, rose to prominence in 2006, when his song, Dig Dug became a hit in his hometown.
    The show took place on July 22, at Backlays Centre, New York City.
    In a document obtained by TMZ, the plaintiff shows an alleged signed contract between Wale’s camp and Upfront, plus two wire transfers for $12.5k a piece. They claimed that soon after, Wale went radio silent on them when asked for a refund.
    However, Wale claimed he was present at the show, but was not allowed to perform because he got there late. He also said he has heard nothing about the lawsuit.
    According to TMZ, Paul Okoye wants his money back, plus interest. The report also stated that Iyanya, a Nigerian artiste who was also in the show’s line-up did not show up as well.

    WALE moving back to Nigeria

    AMERICA-BASED rapper who has a Nigerian heritage, Wale, has said that he has plans to relocate to the land of his descent, Nigeria. The Maybach Music rapper made this known on Thursday with a simple tweet which read; “I’m moving to Nigeria man.”

    Late last year, the artiste announced that his latest effort, The Album About Nothing (TAAN) is scheduled to drop on March 31, 2015. TAAN will serve as Wale’s fourth album overall and third underneath the MMG imprint.

    His label boss, Rick Ross, confirmed during an interview with Billboard at the Grammy Awards that the project should arrive on schedule (March 31). Wale originally made the announcement via Twitter in December, shortly after releasing his collaborative mixtape with A-Trak, Festivus. The Body featuring Jeremih, is the only single from the album that has been released so far.

    Fresh from touring the U.S., where he performed with international acts like Akon and Wale, Nigerian music sensation, Wizkid, has revealed that he has some cards up his sleeves.

    The hit maker, who has been basking in the euphoria of his successful tour, announced at the weekend, via his twitter handle, that he had a surprise for his fans.

    He tweeted: “I’ve got a big, big surprise for my fans in Lagos come December! Big show! Big surprise!”

    Immediately after he made the announcement, twitter fans bombarded the artiste with predictions on what his intention might be. Many, however, were of the opinion that the music rave might be releasing his long- awaited album. But, of course, Wizkid is keeping his plans close to his chest and only time will tell, if some of his fans were actually right about their predictions.

    AMERICAN rappers, Wale and Kendrick Lamar have been billed to performance at the maiden edition of Rap, Rhythm and Rhymes. With the debut set for Lagos, Nigeria December 27, the Maybach Music Group star and Top Dawg Entertainment would be serenading several Nigerians with their popular tunes alongside top rated Nigerian musicians at the Eko Convention Center on Victoria Island, Lagos.

    Produced by Aeroplay, a music management and logistics label which launched in 2010, the Rap, Rhythm and Rhymes concert would be giving artistes like OD Woods and Terry Akpala a platform to further strengthen their acts. Managed by Bayo Fatoba, Aeroplay also play home to ace producer, Pheelz.

    “We are ready to launch with what is promised to be the Christmas season’s best event. Our goal is to provide Nigerians with the ultimate concert, giving them a breathtaking and well packaged event,” Fatoba says.

    Rap, Rhythm and Rhymes, he added, touches the three core pulse points of music for the fun lovers and bringing artists from different genres together on one stage. “Aeroplay has created this experience to satisfy Nigerian’s diverse musical tastes, and give every single member of the audience vibes they can rock to,” Fatoba further states.
