Why I wouldn’t have tolerated Obi for eight years, by Wani

American-Nigerian Alté singer Ayorinde Ayokun, popularly known as Wani, has said it would have been difficult to tolerate the voice of Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, had he won the election.

Wani admitted that he wouldn’t have been able to endure Obi’s voice for eight years as president.

Despite this, the singer acknowledged Obi’s strong policy ideas and expressed appreciation for his vision and political stance.

On his X handle, Wani wrote, “I don’t think I could have tolerated P*ter *bi’s voice for 8 years man!. He’s on point tho… on paper.”

Wani sparked controversy on social media after expressing his dislike for Peter Obi’s voice.

When warned by @Hillz_Hilary that sharing political views can be detrimental to an artist’s career, Wani clarified that his comment wasn’t about politics, but rather his personal preference.

@Hillz_Hilary warned, “Worst mistake to make as an artist is to air out political views.”
