women Entrepreneurs and Professionals Network (WEPDN) has said effective leadership and mentorship will propel women entrepreneurs to success.
The association spoke at its five-year anniversary: ‘Building resilience for sustainable economic and financial growth’ for women entrepreneurs in Lagos.
President, Mrs Affiong Ibanga, noted importance of networking platforms and opportunities.
She said networking had helped entrepreneurs through access to training, resources, knowledge, and skills.

Member of the Advisory Council, Mrs Sarah Roberts, noted that leadership skills require the capacity to inspire, influence, and guide individuals and teams toward a common goal with qualities as vision, integrity, empathy, and decisiveness to drive success.
She also spoke on overcoming barriers to personal development.
Also, Chairman of AGM/ Conference 2024, Hajai Bola Muse, said the workshop was to equip female entrepreneurs on how to navigate challenges associated with businesses.
Hajai Muse noted: “The capacity building workshop is part of the tool created for the business community to encourage investment, stimulate business activity and economic growth for women as well as address challenges business and professional women face, which constitute impediments to growth and sustainability.”
