    During her life time, renowned philanthropist, Yeye Bola Dare, was reputed for her efforts towards lifting the spirits of orphans through her orphanage in Abuja. She was credited with grooming many children into responsible adults. Hence she cannot be easily forgotten and the mention of her name will engender smiles on the faces of many in years to come.

    Until her death at the age of 49, she remained an inspirational figure to generations of African women and girls and this is attributable to her sterling character and exploits in various fields during her life time. She had dreamt of replicating her Mother Theresa Children’s Home in every country in Africa, but the cruel hands of death snapped her and ended the lofty dream.

    Established in 2007 as a non-profit organisation, Yeye Bola’s orphanage home has grown to cater for the needs of over 100 children. First ladies, business men and women, politicians and other high profile individuals were among the regular visitors to the orphanage. Once appointed as the Director of Strategy and Logistics of the Goodluck Support Group (GSG), her association with top politicians and First Ladies placed her on high pedestal.

    Her death came as a shock to many and the sad news shook high society to its foundation. Her death, reportedly from food poisoning, is generating controversy as would be expected. She was said to have given up the ghost shortly after complaining of stomach ache.

    These are not the best of times for Abuja socialite, Yeye Bola Dare. On Thursday last week, the death of her beloved 78-year-old mother threw her into deep mourning.

    Ageless socialite has tentatively fixed her mother’s burial for next month. The Osun State-born socialite is the founder of Mother Theresa Orphanage in Gwarinpa, Abuja. She is also the Director of Strategy of the Goodluck Support Group.

    Yeye Dare is not only a close associate of the first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, she is also a major player in the nation’s political sector. Those who should know say that she is not only grieving over the loss of her mother but also the loss of power by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Her newly acquired magnificent building at AIT Junction in Asokoro, Abuja, is regarded as an artistic and architectural masterpiece.

    The bigwig was a close friend of Turai, wife of the late former President Umar Yar’Adua. With the death of the former president, Yeye Bola almost lost her ties with the Presidency. Before long, another door opened. She keyed into the aspirations of the Jonathan family and this culminated in her close ties with the First Lady, Patience Jonathan. It has been a jolly good ride for Yeye Bola ever since. The female amazon was recently appointed the Director of Strategy and Logistics of the Goodluck Support Group (GSG).

    She is also reputed as a philanthropist with a soft spot for orphans. She founded Mother Theresa Children’s Home in Abuja and has helped to transform the lives of many homeless children.

    Not only is she ‘madam fix it’, the vivacious woman has been dubbed Mother Theresa, no thanks to the orphanage she runs in Gwarimpa, Abuja. Yeye Bola Dare takes delight in giving life and hope to the less-privileged children whom she named after world presidents and past Nigerian leaders. Her involvement in philanthropy is not unconnected with her calling to be mother of many children.

    Not only is she Madam Fix it, the vivacious woman has been dubbed Mother Theresa, no thanks to the orphanage she runs in Gwarimpa, Abuja. Between December 13 and 15, the Federal Capital Territory will play host to socialites, fun lovers and government functionaries as Yeye rolls out the drums to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Mother Theresa children’s home as well as birthday thanksgiving /party of 46 children. There will be thanksgiving service at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Asokoro, while reception will follow at the home in Gwarimpa. The colour of the day is white and black with a touch of red. By 8pm, the stylish and glamorous lady will be entertaining the crème de la creme to her 46th birthday bash.
