The Yobe Police Command has arrested 303 suspects in connection with drug abuse, hoarding, and peddling during raids.
The Command’s spokesman, Superintendent of Police Dungus Abdulkarim, made this known to reporters in Damaturu yesterday.
He said the raids on black spots and criminal hideouts across the state were part of efforts to curb the rising tide of drug-related crimes and violence.

“Three alleged drug barons are undergoing discreet investigation by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA),” the spokesman added.
Abdulkarim said drug abuse remains a driving force behind criminality, contributing to addiction, mental health issues, broken social ties, and diminished life opportunities.
He urged the public to remain vigilant, support anti-drug campaigns, and report all suspicious activities to relevant authorities.
“The Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ado, has reaffirmed the command’s commitment to combating drug abuse and trafficking through enforcement, awareness campaigns, and collaboration with stakeholders,” he said.
