Yvonne, despite these hurdles, remains committed to her vision as she is determined to continue building the school, which has just started its primary phase, and is hopeful about its positive impact on students and future leaders.

“Obviously, we’ve just started primary school and this is just phase one. We are going to continue and progress further. It is really crazy because, at some point, I am getting personal now. When we started the project, I had to sell my house because I went to the banks for a loan and the percentages were, look, it did not make sense.

“So, I had to fall back on a house and sell it. I had so many memories there, but I said to myself, Yvonne, this is the only way, so I sold the house, started the building, the money ran out, and I had to dip into my savings”, she said.

Yvonne Nelson’s allegations almost ruined my current relationship, says Iyanya

Singer, Onoyom ‘Iyanya’ Mbuk, has opened up on how the claims made by his ex-lover, Yvonne Nelson almost cost him his current relationship.

In June, the popular Ghanaian actress made the headlines, following the launch of her book, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ where she made quite a number of outlandish claims.

Besides divulging her affair with Sarkodie in her memoir, Nelson also detailed her relationship with the Kukere master in Chapter Ten, accusing him of cheating on her with former colleague, Dikeh and other ladies.

In the wake of the ‘allegation,’ Iyanya swore to share his side of the story but made a U-turn days later.

He said while many may desire a fitting response from him, he’d be criticised for slut-shaming if he were to detail his side of the story.

Months after, discussing the near-impact of the accusation on the latest episode of ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast hosted by actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, the ‘Kukere’ master said it almost shattered his current love affair.

“I was staying positive; I had loved ones around me. Plus I had this beautiful blessing in my arms. It was all joy for me; I was not listening to all the negativity outside. It didn’t really affect me,” she stated.

The journey of her pregnancy can be described as a not-too-rosy experience especially with criticisms from fans and some concerned citizens who believed that such should not have come forth from her as a celebrity and also role model to youths.

The new mother in one of her interviews also revealed that marriage is a personal decision and shouldn’t be rushed.

Reacting to the recent outburst from controversial Ghanaian marriage counsellor, Rev. George Lutterodt, who condemned Yvonne Nelson’s decision to give birth out of wedlock, the new mother explained that marriage involves much more than accepting a ring and going to the altar. She opines that it’s about the individual’s happiness.

    Where Is Yvonne Nwosu?

One of the flower girls of high society, Yvonne Nelson, has been ‘missing’ in action in recent times, leaving many to wonder what could have happened to the vivacious woman who for many years has been wowing the fashion scene with her VONNE Couture designs.

The woman, once a mainstay on the social scene, seems to have recoiled into her shell for unknown reasons. Several high profile social events have gone by in recent times without an appearance by the tall and beautiful super designer.

Those who expected to see her at the recent Heineken Lagos Fashion Week went home disappointed. It was the same story at GTBFSHNWKND 2017 and the Hennessy Artistry event on Saturday. Yvonne’s absence on those occasions naturally left observers to wonder what could be holding her from making her usual appearances in public.

While some have speculated that she might have been swept off her feet by matters of the heart, others insist she is just taking a well-deserved holiday, enjoying herself in trips around the world.

WHY I BLOCK PEOPLE ON MY PAGES – YVONNE NELSON

GHANAIAN actress, Yvonne Nelson, who recently premiered her latest work, If Tomorrow Never Comes, has revealed how much she blocks contacts on her social media platforms.

Speaking recently on Getting Personal with YN, she revealed the reason. She noted that one of the things that anger her is the negativity which people usually promote on social media.

The thespian who just signed a new deal with Globacom Nigeria, alongside singer Kaakie said, “On Twitter, if I see anything negative on my time-line, I will just block you; I wouldn’t even reply. I hate negativity…, if I see you on my time-line and you mention my name and you mention me and say anything negative, I will not think about it two seconds but to block you. So don’t come to my time-line and act or say anything negative.”

She added: “Sometimes, I see some comment about my bleaching and I just laugh. Other times, people just want to attack you and bully you on social media and I’ll block you.”

“I have been declaring this on social media every time that John is not my boyfriend. John has a lot of girlfriends.” She said

“This year I’m a secondary virgin. I’m just trying to concentrate on my career. John can’t change. He is a ladies’ man and he will forever be John. Plus I don’t want any man in the industry”. She continued.

She also hinted that most Ghanaian men are intimidated by her level of success.

“They think that I’m going to be bossy and control them around. Those around my age are bothered that I’m an independent lady. That has always been the problem. There were about two guys who got scared. But I really don’t mind. Middle of last year, I was trying out something and I wasn’t convinced so I backed off. It had to do with the man not being matured enough”. She added.

She however, indicated that her dream man has to be age appropriate – a five-year gap is okay.

“But I don’t want someone too old because when that happens, you can’t hold a conversation with such a person. I’m not in a rush; I don’t want to marry today and divorce tomorrow because it happens a lot in the industry. Marriage is a beautiful thing but it has to be right. I don’t want to let my mom down, I want to make her and myself happy”.
