Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, on Wednesday evening dissolved the State Executive Council.
The dissolution was aimed at restructuring and re-strategizing the cabinet for efficiency and effective service delivery to people of the state.
The dissolution takes immediate effect.
The Director-General of Media and Public Affairs to the Governor, Mallam Abubakar Shekara, disclosed these in a statement in Sokoto.
The governor thanked members of the Council for their dedication, sacrifice and loyalty to the administration.
Tambuwal also thanked people of the state for supporting the ex-cabinet members during their stint in the state executive council.
