Tambuwal meets Obasanjo over national matters

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal yesterday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo privately in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, in what sources described as a meeting on national matters.

Tambuwal, who arrived the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) penthouse home of the elder states around 1.30 p.m, held a closed-door meeting with him.

According to Obasanjo’s Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi, the former House of Representatives Speaker was accompanied to Obasanjo’s home by some of his key aides.

The duo came out of the meeting around 2.40 p.m and briefly hinted that the parley was on national issues.

Neither Obasanjo nor his guests gave details of what they discussed.

It was learnt that Tambuwal later took his launch with his entourage and headed for the mosque inside OOPL to observe Suhri (post-noon) prayer before leaving the complex.
