Gunmen yesterday attacked Ruwangodiya village in Faskari council of Katsina State, killing six persons.

Six other persons were left with varying degrees of injury.

They said the assailants primarily came to rustle domestic animals.

Those killed and injured were hit by bullets during the sporadic shooting, it was said.

In the end, the gunmen took away some domestic animals.

Police spokesman Gambo Isah confirmed the incident.

“The incident is true. The terrorists killed six people while six were injured. Those injured have been evacuated to hospitals for treatment. Our operatives are already on the ground there,” he said.
