Three persons were confirmed dead and two injured when an unmarked truck ran over a taxi on Friday in the Ijebu – Igbo area of Ogun State.
A witness claimed that the driver of the car, who lost control of the wheel following reckless speeding, drove into the way of the truck and was crushed in the process.
The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps(TRACE) which confirmed the accident said it occurred at Ajegunle area stretch of Ijebu – Igbo -Ago – Iwoye road.
Spokesperson of TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi said the remains of the dead have been evacuated and taken to State General hospital morgue, Ijebu-Igbo, while the injured persons were said to have gone to treat themselves in Epe, Lagos.
