Police operatives in Kaduna State have rescued three people who were kidnapped by bandits in Ikara Local Government Area of the state.
The operatives also recovered firearms and ammunition as well as vehicles and motorcycles used by the bandits for their operations.
In a statement, police spokesman DSP Mohammed Jalige, said one of the rescued victims , Yusuf Abdullahi Abubakar, was kidnapped on September 4, after which the abductors demanded N50 million ransom.

The victim was later rescued by a police patrol team on September 9, along Ikara- Tashan Yari Road after the police operatives intercepted bandits on motorcycles conveying the three persons.
The security personnel caught up with the motorcyclists after which two of the riders, on sensing police pursuit, jumped off the motorcycle and fled into the bush, while the remaining passenger was later discovered to be the Yusuf Abdullahi Abubakar, the kidnapped victim.
On the same September 9, officers of Hunkuyi Division while on aggressive patrol along Zaria–Kano Expressway, rescued two women who were kidnapped by bandits.
