All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has appointed Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari and former Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Wamakko, as Senior Advisers of his Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
Masari was named SA on Administration and Government and Wamakko, SA on Special Duties.
The duo’s appointment letters were signed by Tinubu, whose support base rose at the weekend with Ogun State monarchs and some political big wigs like Senator Uba Sani, Kayode Olaifa. and Rachael Averik describing him as the best man for the job.
Tinubu, in the letters made available to reporters in Abuja, said Masari’s and Wamakko’s impressive political achievements and exemplary leadership qualified them for the positions…
The letter to the Katsina State governor reads: “By way of this letter we are pleased to formally convey your appointment as the Special Adviser on Administration and Government of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.
“This appointment is fitting and appropriate given your impressive political achievement and the exemplary leadership you have demonstrated as governor of your state and as a party member.
“We are grateful that you have joined our campaign team, we know you will do your utmost in this new responsibility,”
Tinubu expressed hope that Masari would help the party to conduct an effective message-driven campaign that would lead to his victory next year.
He said with unity, the council would also help in moving Nigeria along the path of national greatness.
The former Lagos State governor reiterated that he would build on the achievements of the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
Awori obas endorse APC candidates
The Olota of Ota, Oba Kabir Obalanlege and 40 Awori obas at the weekend endorsed the aspirations of Tinubu, Ogun State Dapo Abiodun, Senator Solomon Adeola (aka Yayi ), and other APC candidates for the general elections next year.
The Awori royal fathers promised to support the candidates when Adeola, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, visited them and stakeholders of the APC at the Palace of Olota, Prof. Abdulkabir Obalanleg
The Awori monarchs said the antecedents of Tinubu and the APC candidates in Ogun State were enough to make them win the positions they are seeking.
Opeifa: Tinubu/Shettima ticket will sustain hope
Opeifa, a former Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos State, said that the Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket remains the best presidential pair for Nigeria at this critical moment of “our national life.”.
Opeifa expressed optimism that the ticket will erase the fault lines of division among the federating units of the country.
He spoke during a capacity-building session for affiliated support groups with the theme “Tinubu/Shettima Ticket: A pan-Nigerian Project” under Project Beyond 2023 by Asiwaju Grassroot Foundation (AGF).
Opeifa said Tinubu/Shettima represents the essence of integrity, impeccable capacity, and people with vision.
He stressed the need for the participants at the training to understand their products (Tinubu/Shettima), adding that in marketing the APC candidates, “we should let them know that they represent the essence of integrity, impeccable capacity and people with vision.”
Ex-governor, most qualified to govern Nigeria, says Uba Sani
In Kaduna, Senator Sani, who is the APC governorship candidate in the state, described Tinubu as the most qualified among the 18 Nigerians seeking to become President in February next year.
Sani, who represents Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, argued that Tinubu has all it takes to propel the country to greatness.
He said that while most of the other presidential candidates were military apologists, Tinubu fought and paid his dues for the enthronement of the democracy Nigeria is currently enjoying.

“You cannot compare Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with other presidential candidates because they were nowhere to be found when Asiwaju and people like us were fighting for the enthronement of the democracy we now enjoy today,” Sani .said yesterday.
He spoke while receiving an award of excellence conferred on him by the Association of Lagos State indigenes in Kaduna State during the ‘Isokan Omo Eko Day’.
The governorship candidate added: “I have known Asiwaju since 1992. We backed friends because we share the same convictions; the convictions for rule of law, the conviction for justice, and the freedom of Nigerians. We fought together for the enthronement of democracy in Nigeria.
“Nigerians should not forget that the reason we can gather here and associate freely is because of the sacrifices of some people. That is why I am calling on Nigerians to support Asiwaju Tinubu to be President of Nigeria. Of all those contesting, Tinubu is the most qualified.
“Most of the other presidential candidates were military apologists when Tinubu was fighting for democracy, they never supported rule of law, equality, and justice. Asiwaju did not only fight for democracy, but he also paid his dues, in fact, some of us were detained and persecuted.
Nigeria’ll be great again
An APC Woman Leader in Southern Kaduna, Rachael Averik, at the weekend said that Nigeria will be on the path to economic growth if Tinubu is elected president.
Averik said: “The only man with the pedigree to move Nigeria in the most desired direction is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. . There is no doubt, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the symbol of development, progress, and inclusive governance for all. The very man for the job.”
*Daniel begins campaign
Former Ogun State and All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate for Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has urged the people to support his ambition and that of Tinubu.
Daniel, who flagged off his campaign, recalled his many achievements in Ogun East and other parts of the state when he was governor for eight years.
He urged the people of the state to vote for Tinubu for President and Dapo Abiodun for governor.
“Today, I’m urging you to support the presidential candidate that will do right for us as a people and that is Asiwaju Tinubu.
“My sincere advice to everyone here is that you should go and collect your PVC if you have not done that because that is the only instrument that you can use to the elect who will represent you,” Daniel said.
