Tinubu hails Tony Attah at 60, applauds his energy sector milestone

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Tony Attah, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Attah’s exceptional contributions to Nigeria’s energy sector, describing him as a “visionary industry leader” whose career has been marked by transformational leadership and groundbreaking achievements.

Mr. Attah, a former Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited and former Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), has earned wide recognition for his role in shaping Nigeria’s energy landscape over several decades.

President Tinubu specifically acknowledged his instrumental role in aligning government and industry stakeholders to deliver NLNG’s $10 billion Train 7 expansion project, a major milestone in Nigeria’s liquefied natural gas ambitions.

“Mr. Attah’s legacy is not only one of corporate success but also of national development,” the President said, commending the seasoned executive for his continued service to the country.

President Tinubu wished Attah continued good health, success, and many more years of dedicated service to the nation.
