Troops on patrol in the Ungwan Namama area of Zaria-Kano Road, Kaduna State, have rescued three abducted persons from some migrating gunmen.
Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan said yesterday in a statement that the troops came in contact with migrating bandits in the area and engaged them, forcing them to abandon three captives as they escaped.
“Investigations revealed that the captives were kidnapped in a neighbouring state.
“Also recovered were one cow and eight sheep,” he said.
