•Apprentice kills woman with boss’ car
An illegal tax collector has been crushed to death while attempting to extort a truck driver in Agege, Lagos.
The deceased identified as Kabiru Awwal, 28, was said to have died around 10:30pm on Sunday around Isale Oja, while trying to extort the driver of the moving truck.
It was gathered that the driver fled the scene as soon as the incident occurred.
Awwal’s colleagues attempted to vandalise the truck but were prevented by security operatives deployed to maintain the peace.
A scaffolding apprentice has also been arrested by operatives of the Lagos Police Command for allegedly knocking a mother of six children to death.
The suspect, Habib Isiaka, allegedly drove his boss’ vehicle from a construction site on October 18 in Agege, only to crush the woman, Mrs Zainab Jubril.
