The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnic (SSANIP) has observed that the Treasury Single Account (TSA) introduced by the federal government last year is not favourable to tertiary education in the country.
The union therefore suggested that tertiary institutions be exempted from the implementation of the new policy.
The observation was contained in a communique issued by the union after their 50th General Council meeting and executive council meeting held at the Joshua Dariye Auditorium, Plateau State Polytechnic, Jos.
