Two women, Christiana D’ivoire Iyama and Margaret Ogwu, have been arrested for allegedly operating a baby factory in Ogun State.
Christiana Iyama allegedly operates the baby factory in her apartment.
She was said to harbour young girls who are impregnated by hired men, with the newborns sold to waiting buyers.
Divisional Police Officer for Agbado Division, Awoniyi Adekunle, who acted on a tip-off, detailed detectives to storm the area and arrested Iyama and Ogwu.

Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspects were arrested on August 27.
Oyeyemi said preliminary investigation revealed that Ogwu was one of the girls harboured by Iyama.
Oyeyemi said Iyama sold Margaret Ogwu’s baby for N400,000 to a customer.
The police spokesman also said Iyama admitted selling three babies from different women to her customers in recent years.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole had ordered the transfer of the case to Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
