A Sharia Court sitting at Magajin Gari in Kaduna yesterday ordered the remand of two men – Danlami Abdullahi and Abdullahi Lalo – for alleged sexually molesting a teenage girl.
The two men, who lived on Jos Road in Kaduna, were arraigned in court by the father of the teenager, Abdu Goje.
The complainant said the accused had been sexually molesting the girl, even though they are relatives living in the same compound.
“My daughter complained to me about what they have been doing to her and I warned them to stop but they refused,” he said.
Goje added that their refusal to stop made him file a formal complaint against them “so that the court could intervene into the matter.”
However, the two accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The judge, Malam Dahiru Lawal, ordered the remand of the two men till October 10, when the complainant would present his witnesses.
