Four families in the Ilupeju building took to their heels when they heard cracking sounds from the old building before it collapsed.
Emergency workers cordoned off the place.
However, the families who fled were seen rummaging the debris in search of their belongings.
Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the injured man was taken to hospital.
Oke-Osanyintolu said: “Fortunately, no loss of life. However, one adult male sustained minor injury and has been taken to hospital.”
