US-based artist Ada King bags best upcoming Afropop artist award 2021

Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora are often recognized for their exceptional performances and for standing out in their various fields of endeavor. One of such people is Adaeze Grace Chinyelu Ezuma better known as “Ada King”. The US born Nigerian singer, songwriter, producer, dancer, and actress was listed as one of the winners of the HAPAWARDS 2021. She won in the category of “Best Upcoming Afropop Artist”.

The Hollywood and ​​African Prestigious Awards (HAPAwards) is an annual award ceremony that recognizes works, achievements and accomplishments of Nigerians who have excelled in various fields. The awards are designed to continually honor and celebrate students and youths who have immensely contributed to the growth and development of arts, entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, media, music, and sports across the country and in the diaspora.

This platform also recognizes, encourages and rewards outstanding students and youths who have performed well in academics and have impacted positively in their various careers.

Ada who is currently based in the US says, “It feels good to be recognized for one’s passion and craft, and this award has once again reiterated my belief that hard work always pays off every time.”

Ada, who graduated from the Biomedical Careers Academy of Lawndale High School in Lawndale, CA in 2020, is currently studying for her B.S. in Public Health & Health Sciences at Walden University in Minneapolis, MA.

She is also working on releasing new singles and her debut EP sometime next year.
