Actress Biola Adebayo has announced N15 million has been raised for colleague Olayinka Adebanjo’s surrogacy procedure.
This comes after Olayinka’s emotional appeal for help on the Talk To B podcast in January, where she shared her heartbreaking story of losing her only child, 28-year-old son Adeniyi Ishola, who died suddenly while playing football.
Olayinka had considered adoption but wanted to have her child and according to her, she has already spent a significant amount on medical tests at an adoption centre in Abeokuta.
Biola Bayo suggested surrogacy as a viable alternative, estimating the cost at N15 to N20 million.

She thanked the generosity of well-wishers, stating that the required amount has been almost fully raised, and a fertility hospital has offered to support the process.
“We have raised about N15m for Aunty Yinka’s surrogacy already. The best news is that one of the top surrogacy specialists in Nigeria, @the_fertility_doctor, has agreed to help us with the process”, she wrote in part.
The hospital has significantly reduced its charges, covering a large part of the costs, which will allow Olayinka to use the remaining funds to start a business.
Biola Adebayo expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the cause and urged continued support and prayers for Olayinka.
