Disc Jockey Jimi Shadare aka DJ Jumbo has revealed that the disc jockey business is growing in leaps and bounds because everybody loves music.
The international DJ also said that sounds of several genres emanated from Africa.
He says: “Africa has a lot of music. Sounds come from Africa – sounds, beats, drums, etc and that is what is happening right now in respect of the Afrobeats that are coming from Nigeria. I do a lot of Francophone music, that is how I started as a DJ when I was here and outside the country. Over the years, I found out that there is no way I can do without afrobeat music. If I did old school music or house music, or makossa, I would infuse it with Afrobeats. I have my way of infusing it. I do private gigs and the DJ industry is striving, everybody loves music.”
