PERMANENT Secretary of Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Mr Nurudeen Shodeinde has described flooding on Lagos roads as man-made.
He spoke at the annual public lecture of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Lagos branch, titled: “Flood on Lagos Roads: Causes, Effects, Engineers Solutions” in Lagos.
According to him, ‘how do we deal with peoples’ attitude when it rains where people flood the drainages with refuse, this caused blockage of drainage, then water flows on the road thereby denying many people access to their homes and makes road unaccessible.’’
