Youths need to be equipped with financial skills to help tackle unemployment, Country Manager of TP Global FX, Chuks Obiri, has said.
He said having the right skillset and knowledge, especially in forex trading, will enable them to gain financial freedom and help the economy grow.
The firm held a two-day summit to educate youths on exportable skillset, such as forex.
Obiri stressed that such knowledge can also lead to gainful employment and boost entrepreneurship.
According to him, the company’s mission is to empower youths with skills that will help them earn much more. “We want to contribute our quota to help the economy by educating them with exportable skillset.
“We equipped them with skills they can export that will benefit them and grow the economy.
“Some people have money but don’t know what to do with it, hence our mission of educating them on how to make good use of their money,” he said.
Chief Executive Officer of TP Global FX, Nitish Sharma said the training was designed to “show people how to earn in foreign currency”.
