The Chairman of Rivers State Post-Primary School Board, Chief David Briggs, has said Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike will deliver 3,000 boarding schools in the state.
Briggs spoke while handing over keys of new and renovated 18 classroom blocks at Birabi Memorial Grammar School, Ogoni in Khana Local Government.
He thanked the contractor for delivering the job on time.
The chairman said completion of the project proved the governor was committed to people-oriented programmes, adding this was one of the 3,000 boarding schools promised by Wike.
Briggs urged the Ogoni to support the government, to enable it fulfil its promises.
He said: “Today, we are not inaugurating the school. It is a hand over ceremony. By the time the hostels are ready, the governor will come here and inaugurate the project.
“I thank my board members. I also thank political leaders in the area for ensuring that the contractor delivered in time.”
