Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has dissolved the Executive Council (Exco) with effect from May 24.
The governor, in a statement signed by his Special Assistant, Media, also relieved his Chief of Staff (CoS) and Senior Special Assistant (Protocol) of their offices.
The statement said: “His Excellency, Governor Wike, commends members the Rivers State Executive Council for their service and contribution to the development of the state. He wishes them the best in their future endeavours.”
Wike instructed the former members of the Executive Council to hand over to the most senior officers in their ministries.
