Explosion from domestic gas cylinder has claimed the life of one Mrs. Adeola Adewale in Kwara state.
The tragic incident happened on Monday at Tebanacle 2c Area, Egbe Garage in Omu-aran Irepodun local government area of the state.
The husband of the deceased, affected by the explosion, is recuperating at an undisclosed hospital.
It was learnt that the fire from the explosion torched the building’s sitting room, kitchen and dining.
Spokesperson of the state Fire Service Hassan Adekunle said “the woman was trying to prepare meal for her family. Firemen were able to put the situation under control and saved the victim’s husband who had also been trapped inside the fire.”
He enjoined the public particularly women to be careful while operating gas cooker.
