Elder Ateso-Aisagbonhi a Second World War veteran soldier and retired Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), is dead. He died at the age of 103 on July 3.
According to the family, he was the oldest of the Aisagbonhi clan. He was a community leader and chairman of patent medicine dealers association in Esan Kingdom.
According to one of his children, Chief Omo Aisagbonhi, the exit of their patriarch has been painful, but his fond memories would keep them going. “The fact that God preserved him for 103 years is enough for jubilation. But looking at the companionship that is now lost is very painful.”
The funeral arrangements are to be announced by the family soon.
