Yomi Fabiyi visits ailing Kemi Afolabi

Movie producer Yomi Fabiyi has confirmed his colleague, Kemi Afolabi is holding up strongly.

The filmmaker made this known in a video during his visit to the ailing actress’ home on Monday.

Afolabi revealed she was diagnosed with an ‘incurable’ ailment, ‘lupus’ an autoimmune and inflammatory disease caused when the immune system attacks its tissues.

She also revealed she had four more years to live according to her doctor’s report.

As a result, colleagues, fans well-meaning Nigerians have been offering words of encouragement and support to the 43-year-old actress over her ailment.

In the video which shows Fabiyi in Afolabi’s home, he appreciated everyone for their support and prayers towards his colleague adding, she was doing fine.

He specifically thanked their colleagues for their solidarity at this trying time in the life of one of their own.

“Yes o! Thank you all for your support for my friend. She’s saying a big ‘thank you’ to all of you.

“You guys’ support, piece(s) of advice, the fact that you’re also ready to help all the way; you guys are angels. I love and appreciate you all.

“On behalf of her, I’m saying a huge ‘thank you.’ She’s still coming out to say, ‘thank you’, okay.

“So, she’s doing fine. To all colleagues, I’ve been seeing diverse prayers, calls, brings tears to my eyes. One love in the industry, ‘thank you’ all.

On the video, he wrote: “Thank you all for your wonderful, sincere, and loving messages, calls and solidarity towards my friend and colleague Kemi Afolabi.

“These exemplary acts are therapy and so comforting. I am here this morning and can confirm she is holding up well. Continue to offer your support and prayers. Bless you all.”
